We are proud of Optimist Club member, Ellen Saige, for being one of the Women of Distinction 2015, hosted by Girl Scouts of the Desert Southwest.  Ellen was one of many chosen that were honored at this luncheon for their community involvement.

Thanks to all riders and volunteers for making Tour de Optimism 2015 another success!  Our NM weather threw challenges at the riders and break volunteers, and we just have to say everything was done to keep it going.  All those riders that braved the challenge were accounted for one way or another, whew!  We look forward to next year’s ride, may “the weather be with us”.

The JOOI club assisted in the Project Unify Special Olympics held at Central Elementary School.  They partnered with athletes in events and also provided assistance in other areas needed for the event.

Several club members and family volunteered for the Desert Dash for the water stations.  Asombro sponsors this event to raise money to provide educational programs for children and students.

When: Game 1 is Friday, June 12, 2014 at 7:30 p.m.; Saturday, June 13th a doubleheader is scheduled for noon
